The Carolina Hurricanes are set to face the Seattle Kraken at home as they aim to begin December positively. The game is scheduled for Tuesday, December 3, with a puck drop at 7:00 p.m. ET. Fans can watch on FanDuel Sports Network South or listen via 99.9 The Fan and the Hurricanes App.

Currently, the Hurricanes hold a record of 16-7-1, placing them third in the Metropolitan Division with 33 points. They are coming off a tough 6-0 loss against the Florida Panthers on November 30, marking their first consecutive regulation losses this season.

Seattle enters this matchup with an 11-13-1 record and sits tied for sixth in the Pacific Division with 23 points. Their last outing resulted in a 4-2 defeat to the San Jose Sharks on November 30.

The Hurricanes previously defeated Seattle with a solid defensive performance, winning 4-1 at Climate Pledge Arena.

Martin Necas has been a standout player for Carolina, earning recognition as the NHL's First Star of the Month for November. He led league scoring with seven goals and fifteen assists over fifteen games.

Goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov may return after being sidelined due to a concussion from an incident on November 23 in Columbus. Coach Rod Brind'Amour expressed optimism about Kochetkov's potential return, stating: "He's got to get through another test, maybe, before he's cleared, but he looks good."

Seattle struggles offensively ranked low in goal-scoring during November and possessing a struggling power play percentage. Jared McCann leads their offensive efforts with twenty-three points across twenty-five games.

Injury updates include goaltender Frederik Andersen undergoing knee surgery and forward Jesper Fast ruled out for the season since August.

Following this game against Seattle, Carolina will practice Wednesday before facing Colorado Avalanche at home on Thursday.
