The Carolina Hurricanes will have Spencer Martin in goal for the second consecutive day as they face the Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena. Martin played in Raleigh on Saturday, but with Frederik Andersen sidelined due to a knee injury and Pyotr Kochetkov under concussion protocol, the team is short on goaltending options.

Head coach Rod Brind'Amour explained the decision: "It was an obvious [decision] for us. We're kind of light on the goalie situation... I don't have any issue playing a goalie for two in a row." He also mentioned that players' fitness levels today make back-to-back games less concerning.

Brind'Amour noted that Kochetkov is "feeling good" but would like him to practice before returning to game action. Martin will be supported by backup Yaniv Perets and will play with the same 18 skaters as in previous games. Defenseman Ty Smith has been reassigned, leaving no extra healthy players available.

Martin Necas is set to play his 15th game of November, leading all NHL skaters with 22 points since November 1st.

Tonight's betting odds from Fanatics Sportsbook list the Hurricanes at -105 against the Panthers.

Friday's lineup featured forwards Jarvis, Aho, Roslovic; Svechnikov, Drury, Necas; Carrier, Staal, Martinook; Robinson, Kotkaniemi, Blake. The defense pairs were Slavin-Burns; Orlov-Chatfield; Gostisbehere-Walker. Goaltenders were Martin and backup Perets.

Injuries include Frederik Andersen (knee), Jesper Fast (neck), and Pyotr Kochetkov (concussion). Ty Smith was reassigned earlier this afternoon.

Power play units included PP1: Aho, Jarvis, Necas, Svechnikov with Gostisbehere; PP2: Blake, Drury, Kotkaniemi, Roslovic with Burns.
