NC State's wrestling team, ranked sixth nationally, is preparing to host Appalachian State in their first home dual meet of the 2024-25 season. The event will take place at Reynolds Coliseum on Friday night, starting at 7 p.m., and will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra with commentary from Evan Budrovich and Trent Hidlay.

The probable lineups for the dual include several notable matchups. At 125 pounds, Louie Gill or Vince Robinson will face Noah Luna. Troy Hohman or Draegen Orine are set to compete against Chad Bellis at 133 pounds. Ranked wrestlers such as Kai Orine (#7) and Ed Scott (#9) are also expected to participate in their respective weight classes.

A victory for NC State would mark the program's 783rd win overall and head coach Popolizio's 167th win at NC State. It would also be their 34th win over Appalachian State in a series that dates back to 1957.

In terms of conference performance, the ACC currently has five teams ranked nationally in the top-25, including NC State at No. 6. The Wolfpack opens this season as defending ACC Champions for the sixth consecutive year.
