The Duke Blue Devils secured a victory against NC State with a 29-19 win at Carter-Finley Stadium on Saturday. The game marked Senior Day for the Wolfpack, who struggled to convert their opportunities into a win despite having more total plays and successful conversions in the red zone.

Kanoah Vinesett was a standout for NC State, scoring 12 of the team's 19 points and becoming the 11th Wolfpack kicker to kick four field goals in a game. NC State's offense managed 263 yards, including 184 passing yards and 84 rushing yards. However, they were unable to capitalize on their advantages over Duke, who were held to just 31 rushing yards.

Quarterback CJ Bailey completed only 41% of his passes, marking his lowest completion rate this season. He also led the team in rushing with 36 yards on ten attempts. Receiver Justin Joly had four receptions for 52 yards, while Wesley Grimes scored his first touchdown of the season with three catches totaling 44 yards.

Defensively, Sean Brown led with ten tackles, half of which were solo efforts. A key moment came when Temarcus Cooley stripped the ball from a Duke receiver and returned it for 70 yards, setting up a Vinesett field goal just before halftime.

Duke initially took control by scoring the first twelve points but saw their lead challenged as NC State tied the game in the third quarter. Despite holding Duke to zero conversions on third down, NC State could not prevent Todd Pelino from securing two crucial field goals for Duke.

NC State will have a bye week before facing Georgia Tech in Atlanta on November 21st.
