Hurricanes prepare for matchup against Rangers amid lineup uncertainties

Newcomers Mikko Rantanen and Taylor Hall are anticipated to start in the Carolina Hurricanes' top six lineup as they face the New York Rangers. Rantanen, currently sixth in NHL scoring, will join Sebastian Aho and rookie Jackson Blake. Meanwhile, Hall is set to play alongside Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Andrei Svechnikov.

The team faces uncertainty with forward Jack Roslovic, who missed a second practice due to illness. Coach Rod Brind'Amour stated that Roslovic's participation is a game-time decision. If unavailable, defenseman Riley Stillman may debut for the team, reducing the forwards to 11.
