The NC State volleyball team faced a challenging match against the 24th-ranked Florida State Seminoles on Sunday at Tully Sports Complex in Tallahassee. The Wolfpack, now with a season record of 12-10 and 7-7 in ACC play, fell to the Seminoles in four sets.

The match began with NC State taking an early lead, but Florida State quickly responded with a scoring run that put them ahead. Despite efforts from players like Courtney Bryant and Amanda Rice, who combined for multiple kills, the Wolfpack couldn't maintain their advantage. Graduate setter Naomi Cabello contributed with a service ace that briefly gave NC State the lead in the first set, but Florida State closed it out at 26-24.

In the second set, Florida State took control early on, forcing NC State's head coach Luka Slabe to call an early timeout. The Seminoles maintained their momentum and secured the set with a score of 25-16.

NC State showed resilience in the third set by keeping it close and eventually winning it 25-19. Senior libero Skye Stokes played a key role with her service ace that sealed the set victory for NC State.

Despite Amanda Rice's impressive performance throughout the match, including her first 20-kill game of the season, Florida State clinched the fourth set 25-23 after securing crucial points towards the end.

Statistical leaders for NC State included Amanda Rice with 20 kills, Skye Stokes leading digs with 24, Naomi Cabello providing 25 assists, and both Sophie Groom and Jada Allen contributing three blocks each. Both Stokes and Rice also tallied two aces each during the match.

Looking ahead, NC State will return to Raleigh to face Wake Forest at Reynolds Coliseum on Wednesday evening. The upcoming match will be available for streaming on ACCNX.
