Today, Governor Josh Stein announced that Ralliant Corporation will establish its global headquarters in Wake County, North Carolina. The move is expected to create 180 jobs and involve an investment of $2.1 million in the North Hills area of Raleigh.
"North Carolina’s technology hub has attracted another great company to our state,” said Governor Stein. “We welcome Ralliant to the Research Triangle, where they can tap into our highly skilled workforce and workforce training systems to supercharge their business.”
Ralliant, which provides precision technologies for various industry sectors, is set to become an independent public company after separating from Fortive Corporation in early Q3 2025. It aims to build on brands with approximately $2 billion in revenue and focus on innovation and growth in Raleigh.
“Raleigh is an ideal location with its strong high-tech research presence, top universities, skilled workforce, and proximity to our operating companies,” said Tami Newcombe, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ralliant. “We are excited to build our future here—driving breakthroughs, empowering progress, and shaping what’s next.”
Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley added: "Ralliant’s decision to establish its headquarters in Raleigh reflects the city’s dynamic economy, highly skilled talent pool, and outstanding quality of life."
The average salary for these new positions will be $189,479 compared to the average wage in Wake County of $76,643. The initiative will bring an annual payroll impact exceeding $30 million.
A Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) approved by the state's Economic Investment Committee supports this project. Over a 12-year term, it is projected to grow the state economy by over $975 million. The JDIG agreement allows potential reimbursement up to $2,630,250 based on job creation and investment targets met by Ralliant.
The project's return on investment is estimated at 195%, meaning every dollar spent potentially returns $2.95 in state revenue.
Because Ralliant chose Wake County—a Tier 3 county—the JDIG agreement includes moving $876,750 into the Industrial Development Fund – Utility Account for rural infrastructure upgrades elsewhere in North Carolina.
“We’re excited to see a sophisticated technology company like Ralliant select Raleigh and Wake County for their world headquarters,” said N.C. Senator Jay Chaudhuri.
“I’d like to thank the many local, regional, and state economic development organizations that worked together," said N.C. Representative Tim Longest.
Several partners supported this project including the North Carolina Department of Commerce; Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina; North Carolina General Assembly; North Carolina Community College System; Capital Area Workforce Development; Wake Technical Community College; N.C. State University; Wake County; City of Raleigh; Raleigh Economic Development; and Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce programs.
