The Carolina Hurricanes are set to face the Boston Bruins tonight, aiming for their third consecutive win. The team has demonstrated strong defensive performances recently, conceding only one goal in each of their last two games against Calgary and Detroit.

Pyotr Kochetkov is expected to start as goaltender. The 25-year-old seeks his third straight victory and holds a 2-0 record in regular-season appearances against Boston. Sebastian Aho, a key player for Carolina, has accumulated 22 points in 20 games against the Bruins and scored in three of the last four games.

A notable change occurred on Tuesday with adjustments to the power play lineup. Jack Roslovic and Jackson Blake were moved to PP1 while Andrei Svechnikov and Seth Jarvis shifted to PP2. This aims to balance the units for Carolina's power play, currently ranked 24th in the NHL.

Head Coach Brind'Amour commented on these changes: "(The power play has) got to click. That's the one area of our game that needs to take a step in the right direction," he said Thursday. "What is the next step? It's moving guys around, trying different things as far as spots. We did it the other night and we had one power play that was okay, we got three or four good opportunities, so we'll continue with it."

Tonight's projected lineup includes forwards Jarvis, Aho, Rantanen; Martinook, Staal, Svechnikov; Hall, Kotkaniemi, Blake; Robinson, Jost, Roslovic; defensemen Slavin-Burns; Orlov-Chatfield; Gostisbehere-Walker; with Kochetkov as goaltender and Andersen as backup.

Injury updates note William Carrier is out due to a lower-body injury since January 24th and Jesper Fast will miss the entire season due to a neck injury. Riley Stillman is listed as a scratch.
