The Carolina Hurricanes are set to face the Edmonton Oilers at Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Saturday. The Hurricanes aim for their third consecutive home victory. The game will begin at 7:00 p.m. ET and can be watched on FanDuel Sports Network South or listened to on 99.9 The Fan.

Both teams hold a record of 34-21-4, placing them second in their respective divisions. The Hurricanes recently defeated the Buffalo Sabres 5-2, while the Oilers suffered a 4-3 loss to the Florida Panthers.

In their last encounter with Edmonton, Carolina overcame a two-goal deficit with Sebastian Aho scoring the game-winner in overtime. Mikko Rantanen and Taylor Hall were key contributors in the recent win against Buffalo.

Carolina's Frederik Andersen is expected to start as goalie against Edmonton after Pyotr Kochetkov played against Buffalo. Andersen previously made 32 saves in a win over Edmonton earlier this season.

Edmonton has struggled recently with five straight losses and allowing an average of 5.20 goals per game during this period. Despite these challenges, Leon Draisaitl has been performing well, scoring in seven consecutive games and leading the league with 44 goals this season.

Injury updates include William Carrier being out since January due to a lower-body injury and Jesper Fast missing the entire season.

The Hurricanes will wear their black uniforms for this game and will host the Calgary Flames next at Lenovo Center on Sunday.
