Sebastian Aho and Taylor Hall may return to the Carolina Hurricanes' lineup for their game against the Los Angeles Kings at Lenovo Center. Both players missed the previous game due to illness but participated in this morning's practice.

However, Jordan Staal was absent from the skate and is considered a game-time decision along with several other players. Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour commented on the uncertainty: "All these guys are questionable. We sent (Staal) home, he's on the fence about whether he's going to play. I don't know any lineups right now, we'll know at 5:30."

The Hurricanes managed a win on Thursday despite being short a skater. Ryan Suzuki and Riley Stillman are available to fill in if needed, each poised for their second appearance of the season.

Frederik Andersen is expected to start as goaltender if his rotation with Pyotr Kochetkov continues as planned since Andersen's return from injury.

Injuries remain a concern for the team. William Carrier is out with a lower-body injury until further notice, Tyson Jost is sidelined long-term with a similar issue, and Jesper Fast will miss the entire 2024-25 season due to a neck injury.

The projected lineup includes Rantanen, Aho, Blake; Hall, Kotkaniemi, Svechnikov; Martinook, Staal*, Jarvis; Robinson, Suzuki/Jaaska, Roslovic for forwards and Slavin - Burns; Orlov - Chatfield; Gostisbehere - Walker for defense. The goaltenders listed are Andersen with Kochetkov as backup.

Betting odds provided by Fanatics Sportsbook list the Hurricanes at -180 against the Kings.
