Eric Tulsky, General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, announced the recall of defenseman Riley Stillman from the Chicago Wolves and the assignment of center Ryan Suzuki to Chicago.
Stillman, 26, recently returned from a lower-body injury that kept him out for the first 14 games of the season. He debuted with the Hurricanes on January 28 against the New York Rangers. In his time with the Wolves, he accumulated five points over 15 games. Originally drafted by Florida in 2016, Stillman has played for several NHL teams before signing with Carolina as a free agent.
Ryan Suzuki, 23, made his NHL debut against the Chicago Blackhawks. Leading the Wolves in points and assists this season, Suzuki has been reassigned to continue his development in Chicago. The London native was drafted by Carolina in 2019 and has an impressive track record in both AHL and OHL play.
A notable moment highlighted by NHL was Riley Stillman's debut wearing No. 61, previously worn by his father Cory nearly two decades ago.
