ELMONT, N.Y. - Mikko Rantanen and Taylor Hall are set to make their debut with the Carolina Hurricanes in an away game against the New York Islanders. Coach Rod Brind'Amour has not disclosed where these players will fit into the lineup, but there is speculation that Rantanen might play alongside fellow Finn Sebastian Aho.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi aims to score for a fourth consecutive game, potentially matching his career-best streak from his time in Montreal. In goal, Pyotr Kochetkov will mark his 100th NHL appearance as he leads the Hurricanes against the Islanders. Kochetkov has been performing well recently, with a record of 3-0-1 in his last four games.

The projected lineup includes various combinations of forwards and defensemen. Notably, William Carrier and Tyson Jost are out due to injuries, while Jesper Fast is sidelined for the entire season.

Betting odds at the time of publishing favor the Hurricanes at -225 according to Fanatics Sportsbook.
