Prepare for Severe Weather with Emergency Kits

Talk with experts at four local stores on Saturday, March 11

As part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week, Wake County Emergency Management, North Carolina Emergency Management and Community Emergency Response Teams from Apex, Cary, Morrisville and Raleigh will host informational events to help people build and update emergency kits.

Between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday, March 11, residents can stop by displays at four local Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores to get a list of what should go in the kit, learn how to sign up for ReadyWake emergency alerts, and talk one-on-one with experts about how to prepare for severe weather.
