The National Hockey League (NHL) has announced the rosters for the upcoming NHL 4 Nations Face-Off, scheduled to take place in Montreal and Boston from February 12-20, 2025. Among those selected are Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin and forward Seth Jarvis. Slavin will represent the United States, while Jarvis will play for Canada. Previously, it was revealed that Sebastian Aho would represent Finland at the event, which features teams from Canada, Finland, Sweden, and the United States competing in a round-robin format. The top two teams will face off in the championship game at TD Garden.

Jaccob Slavin, aged 30, has achieved eight points (1 goal, 7 assists) with a plus-4 rating over 25 games this season with Carolina. The Denver native holds franchise records among defensemen for points (280), assists (230), and shorthanded points (15). He is tied for leading in shorthanded goals (4) and overtime goals (3). Slavin is a two-time recipient of the NHL’s Lady Byng Memorial Trophy (2020-21, 2023-24), awarded to players who exhibit sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct alongside high playing ability. He stands as only the second defenseman in league history to win this award twice. His performance since the start of the 2015-16 season includes leading in takeaways among NHL blueliners and ranking second overall with 633 career takeaways during this period.
