The game will be broadcasted on FanDuel Sports Network South and can also be listened to on 99.9 The Fan and the Hurricanes App. The Canes are favored with odds of -145 according to Fanatics Sportsbook.

In previous encounters this season, Sebastian Aho scored an overtime goal leading to a win over the Canucks. Aho holds the most points against Vancouver in Hurricanes history since relocation.

Jordan Staal's recent performance marked his first hat trick in nearly three seasons and extended his point streak to three games. Dustin Tokarski is expected to start as goaltender against Vancouver.

The Canucks have a record of 18-12-10 and are fourth in the Pacific Division. They are currently experiencing a three-game winless streak. Quinn Hughes leads their offense with 45 points, while Jake Debrusk is nearing career-best numbers this season.

Vancouver's goaltending duties have fallen to Kevin Lankinen due to Thatcher Demko's injuries. Lankinen has won 15 out of his 27 starts this season.

On injury updates for Carolina, William Carrier is dealing with a lower-body injury as is Tyson Jost who was labeled "long-term." Shayne Gostisbehere remains on injured reserve due to an upper-body injury, while Frederik Andersen has returned to practice following knee surgery.

Following Friday’s game, the Hurricanes will host Anaheim on Sunday for Eric Staal’s jersey retirement ceremony at Lenovo Center.
