The NC State women's basketball team is set to face No. 18 Ole Miss in the SEC/ACC Challenge on Thursday, December 5, at Reynolds Coliseum. The game will begin at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN2.

NC State enters the game after a mixed performance at the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship, where they defeated Southern but lost to LSU. The team has faced a challenging schedule, having played three top 10 teams so far this season. Despite falling out of the AP Poll, NC State remains competitive with a No. 24 ranking in the WBCA Coaches Poll.

Aziaha James leads NC State with an average of 17.6 points per game, while Saniya Rivers contributes significantly in rebounds, blocks, and steals. Zoe Brooks tops the assists chart for the team.

Ole Miss comes into this matchup after being picked to finish fifth and sixth in various SEC Preseason Polls. Last season, they finished third in their conference and reached the NCAA Tournament's second round.

Madison Scott has been recognized on preseason teams and provides consistent performance for Ole Miss alongside KK Deans and Starr Jacobs.

Historically, NC State leads Ole Miss in their series encounters with a record of 3-1. Their last meeting was in 2008 when NC State secured a narrow victory.

Following this game against Ole Miss, NC State will host Old Dominion on Sunday as part of their ongoing homestand.
