Jordan Staal and Shayne Gostisbehere both recorded multiple assists. Jesperi Kotkaniemi excelled in faceoffs, winning nine out of ten attempts.
Rod Brind'Amour praised Martin's contribution: "He's played really well for us when we've called upon him... [Goaltending] is the most important position and that was a great game by him."
Martin expressed gratitude for his opportunity: "It's incredibly special. I prayed and prayed and prayed that I'd get an opportunity and for it to go well is unbelievable."
Aho highlighted the team's effort to secure Martin's shutout: "You want to make sure that he's getting a shutout after that kind of performance."
