RALEIGH, N.C. – Amelia Rajecki, a prominent player in NC State women's tennis history, has been honored as the national winner of the 2024 ITA Senior Player of the Year Award, according to an announcement by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Thursday afternoon.

The award recognizes the senior student-athlete who had the most outstanding year among all athletes in their class.

During her four-year tenure at NC State, Rajecki achieved over 100 victories in both singles and doubles. She becomes only the third player in Wolfpack history to surpass this milestone. Her career concludes with 109 singles wins and 103 doubles wins, placing her third all-time in program history for both categories.

Rajecki's season included ITA All-American and First Team All-ACC honors. The Nottingham, England native also achieved the highest ITA ranking in program history, holding the No. 2 spot nationally for much of the second half of the season. She reached the semifinals of the NCAA Individual Singles Championships for two consecutive seasons.

This season, Rajecki led NC State with 37 singles wins, just three shy of matching her own program record set last year. In doubles play, she earned All-ACC second team recognition with a record of 29-10 overall and 8-2 in conference matches.

Rajecki is now the fourth Wolfpack women's tennis player in three seasons to receive ITA national recognition. Previous honorees include Diana Shnaider, who was named ITA Carolina District Rookie of the Year last season; Jaeda Daniel, who received ITA's Most Improved Senior award in 2022; and Anna Rogers, who earned the ITA Carolina Region Most Improved Senior Award.

The official ITA release and a letter from head coach Simon Earnshaw can be found HERE.
