NC State catcher Jacob Cozart was named a 2024 Perfect Game Second Team All-American on Wednesday afternoon.

Cozart, who was recently named a Buster Posey Award Finalist, earns the first All-America honor of his career with the Wolfpack. Following teammate Alec Makarewicz's recognition as an NCBWA Third Team All-American earlier on Wednesday, Cozart becomes the 47th student-athlete in NC State's history to receive All-America accolades.

Entering the College World Series, Cozart holds a .300 batting average with 19 home runs, 53 RBIs, 60 runs scored, and a .430 on-base percentage. His 49 walks lead all NC State players as he approaches this weekend's matchups in Omaha with an OPS of 1.034.

Defensively, Cozart has thrown out 13 of 40 runners attempting to steal this season and maintains a .994 fielding percentage, recording 433 putouts and 39 assists. During the ACC regular season, he ranked first among all ACC catchers with 13 runners caught stealing.

Cozart was also recognized as a First Team All-ACC honoree and included in the Golden Spikes Midseason Watch List earlier this season. He is one of just 45 student-athletes nationwide named to the list.

NC State will face Kentucky in its opening round game at the 2024 NCAA Men's College World Series. The teams will compete on Saturday at Omaha's Charles Schwab Field at 2 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on ESPN.
