RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's basketball team will host Texas in the SEC/ACC Challenge, the league announced on Wednesday.

The game is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 4 at PNC Arena. Tip-time and broadcast information will be released later.

This is the third game of the 2024-25 schedule to be announced and the first home game. It was previously announced that NC State will play in the 2024 Rady Children's Invitational in San Diego. The Pack is joined in that tournament by BYU, Ole Miss, and Purdue and will play two games on Nov. 28 and Nov. 29.

Season tickets to see the 2024-25 NC State men's basketball team are now on sale.

The upcoming game against the Longhorns will be the fifth meeting all-time between the two programs and the first one to be played at one of the team's home courts. The four previous meetings were in New York City (3/21/1978), Anchorage, Alaska (11/28/1986), Dallas, Texas (3/19/2006) and East Rutherford, N.J. (11/21/2011).

The all-time series with Texas is tied at two. NC State won the most recent meeting with Texas, defeating them 77-74 on Nov. 21, 2011 in the Legends Classic. Texas led by as many as 15 points in the second half and still held a 65-52 lead with 8:25 to play, but NC State outscored Texas, 25-9, for a final score of 77-74. C.J. Leslie led NC State with 17 points while Scott Wood contributed 16.
