February is American Heart Month, a time to recommit to making the diet and lifestyle choices needed to keep your heart healthy and strong. Heart disease is the leading cause of death among adults in the United States. Cardiovascular disease accounts for approximately 610,000 deaths annually (estimated 1 in 4 deaths) and is the leading cause of mortality in the United States.
This February, show your heart some love by getting more active with Raleigh Parks. Throughout February Raleigh Parks will be offering free access to a variety of fitness experiences to improve your overall health.
Get a Free 1-Month Pass for any or all of the following activities
- Wear Red Pound® fitness class on February 3, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at John Chavis Memorial Park.
- Weekly Pound® Fitness class on Wednesdays, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at John Chavis Memorial Park.
- Weekly Water Exercise Classes at Millbrook Exchange, Optimist and Pullen Aquatic Centers.
