Mayor Massengill has proclaimed May 11-17 as National Police Week in Fuquay-Varina. National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others. Thankfully, our town has never had a fallen officer.
There are more than 800,000 law enforcement officers serving in communities across the United States including members of the Fuquay-Varina Police. We take this week to honor their service, dedication, and sacrifice.
If you see a police officer around town this week, simply tell them that you appreciate all the work they do and thank them for keeping you safe!
