City of Raleigh issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.
Celebrate a Week of Public Transit with GoRaleigh
Thinking of adding a bus trip to your daily commute? With suspended fares until June of 2022, there’s no better time to try!
Try Transit Week is an educational event designed to encourage people to take a ride with GoRaleigh and celebrate those who already have. Throughout the week GoRaleigh will be hosting events and promotions for residents including:
Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 13 - 15
Rider Appreciation Days
Ride the bus to different locations throughout the week to talk with GoRaleigh staff and receive fun giveaways!
Monday, Sept. 13: Visit the stop at Crabtree Valley Mall from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
You can take Route 6, 16, 23L, 26, 27 or 36 to get there.
Tuesday, Sept. 14: Visit Triangle Town Center’s stop from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
You can take Route 1, 25L or 401X to get there.
Wednesday, Sept. 15: Visit the Pleasant Valley Shopping Center stop from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
You can take Route 6 or 70X to get there.
Thursday, Sept. 16
Transit Employee Appreciation Day
Tag GoRaleigh on social media and tell them about your favorite GoRaleigh employee and let them know how much you appreciate them!
Ride the Try Transit Electric Bus
GoRaleigh is rolling out one of their NEW electric buses, just for you to try! Get on the Try Transit bus at any R-Line stop between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to see how quiet and environmentally friendly the new buses are!

Visit GoRaleigh Station for More Fun
Stop by GoRaleigh Station to take photos at a photo booth, receive fun giveaways and talk about why you “Try Transit” with GoRaleigh staff.
