Congresswoman Deborah Ross, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing North Carolina’s 2nd district since 2021, recently shared her thoughts and activities through a series of tweets. Ross replaced former U.S. Congress member George Holding and has also served in the North Carolina House of Representatives from 2003 to 2013.
On February 18, 2025, Ross tweeted about her engagement with students at North Wake College and Career Academy. She expressed optimism for the future, stating: "I had the pleasure of speaking with students at @NWakeCCAcademy about my work in Congress and how I'm fighting for #NC02. I know our community has a bright future with students and schools like these!"
Later that day, she addressed the upcoming winter storms approaching North Carolina. In her tweet, she advised residents to prepare and take necessary precautions: "As more winter storms head towards North Carolina, I encourage everyone to get ready for the storm and take cautions to protect yourselves and your loved ones." She referenced guidance from Governor Stein on preparation measures.
In another tweet on February 18, Ross voiced concerns over Elon Musk's access to sensitive personal information through the Social Security Administration under former President Trump's administration. She stated: "I know I don't want Elon Musk to have access to my sensitive personal information. But Trump is letting him run wild in the Social Security Administration. Musk now has access to Americans' bank information, tax information, and retirement information."
