On February 19, 2025, Ross commented on the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. She stated: "Russia illegally invaded Ukraine. Russia started the war with Ukraine. And Russia continues to bomb Ukrainian cities and people." Furthermore, she criticized former President Donald Trump for allegedly aligning with Russian narratives by saying: "Trump repeating Russian propaganda shows exactly whose side he's on."
Later that day, Ross addressed concerns regarding healthcare funding cuts proposed by House Republicans. She emphasized the potential impact on North Carolinians: "Our health care system must improve to meet the needs of North Carolinians. But House Republicans want to slash health care funding, including eliminating Medicaid for hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians." Ross affirmed her commitment to defending Medicaid in collaboration with Protect Our Care.
On February 20, 2025, Ross reiterated her stance on Medicaid's importance in a subsequent post. She warned against potential funding reductions: "Medicaid is a critical program ensuring millions of Americans get health care and treatment they can afford." According to Ross, the proposed Republican plan would compromise financial security and access to healthcare for many individuals.
