Amid ongoing election protests by Jefferson Griffin, attention has turned to a state supreme court election in North Carolina decided by 734 votes. The controversy centers on overseas voters who did not provide photo identification or never lived in the state.

The case involves 5,509 ballots cast by mail without including a copy of photo ID. North Carolina law mandates photo ID for both in-person and absentee voting. While missing IDs can be rectified before Election Day, the issue remains contentious.

Democrats have criticized the involvement of a lower-court judge in Griffin's litigation fund and noted that spouses of two Republican justices donated $6,400 each to Griffin’s campaign. They also highlighted that the husband of another Democrat on the court contributed $2,700 to Riggs’s campaign.
