Pyotr Kochetkov is set to return to action as the Carolina Hurricanes prepare to face the New York Islanders. The game will take place in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Tuesday.

Kochetkov, a 25-year-old goaltender, had a rare day off on Sunday after participating in the previous five games for the Hurricanes. This matchup will mark his 35th career game against a Metropolitan Division opponent. Over four seasons, he holds a record of 21-8-4 with a .909 save percentage in divisional contests.

The team plans to maintain the same lineup of skaters that closed out their weekend performance. Martin Necas currently leads the team with seven points over six games since December began. Sebastian Aho, Shayne Gostisbehere, and Andrei Svechnikov have each contributed six points during this period.

Tonight's betting odds are provided by Fanatics Sportsbook, listing the Hurricanes at -225.

The projected lineup for tonight includes:

Forwards: Robinson - Aho - Jarvis; Svechnikov - Kotkaniemi - Necas; Martinook - Staal - Carrier; Roslovic - Jost - Blake

Defense: Slavin - Burns; Orlov - Chatfield; Gostisbehere - Walker

Goaltenders: Kochetkov [Backup: Tokarski]

Injuries affecting the team include Jack Drury (hand injury) who is out "at least four weeks" from December 12, Frederik Andersen (knee injury) who is expected to be out for 8-12 weeks from November 22, and Jesper Fast (neck injury) who will miss the entire 2024-25 season.

Riley Stillman is listed as a scratch for tonight's game.

Power Play Units:

PP1: Aho, Jarvis, Necas, and Svechnikov with Gostisbehere

PP2: Blake, Jost, Kotkaniemi, and Roslovic with Burns

The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
