NC State's men's basketball team is set to wrap up its initial homestand of the season with a game against William & Mary on Friday night at the Lenovo Center. The game will start at 7 p.m. and can be viewed on ACC Network Extra, with Matt Chazanow and Tony Haynes providing commentary on the Wolfpack Sports Network.

NC State, currently holding a 4-0 record, recently achieved a decisive victory over Colgate, winning 72-49. This win was marked by NC State's defensive efforts, which held Colgate to 33.3% shooting from the field and forced 15 turnovers. Ben Middlebrooks was a standout performer for NC State, scoring 19 points and contributing defensively with three blocks.

Marcus Hill and Brandon Huntley-Hatfield also reached double figures in scoring during the game against Colgate. Eight different players have scored in double figures for NC State this season, demonstrating their depth in scoring options.

Senior guard Michael O'Connell has been notable for his efficiency with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 10.0, which ranks among the best in both the ACC and NCAA.

In recent seasons, NC State has shown strong performance at home games under head coach Kevin Keatts, maintaining an impressive record against non-conference opponents. They have also excelled in converting two-point field goals this season and generating points off turnovers.

William & Mary poses a significant challenge from beyond the arc as they rank high nationally in three-point attempts and makes per game. The upcoming match will be their 31st encounter with NC State leading the series historically.

The last meeting between these teams took place on November 29, 2022, when NC State secured an 85-64 victory over William & Mary.
