NC State women's basketball team secured a decisive 89-68 victory over Coastal Carolina, marking the Chanticleers' first loss of the season. The Wolfpack's performance was highlighted by their 50 percent shooting accuracy and dominance in rebounds, leading with a margin of 50-31. The team also demonstrated effective teamwork, assisting on 22 out of their 36 successful field goals.

The game saw standout performances from Aziaha James and Devyn Quigley, who both scored over 20 points. James contributed significantly with her third consecutive game scoring over 20 points, ending the night with a total of 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Quigley achieved a career-high with her contribution of 20 points.

Madison Hayes also played a pivotal role in NC State's early lead, scoring quickly to help establish an initial advantage that Coastal Carolina struggled to overcome throughout the match. Hayes ended the game with an impressive tally of 18 points.

As the game progressed into the second quarter, NC State's freshmen players made significant contributions during a crucial run that helped maintain their lead. Despite efforts from Coastal Carolina to close the gap at various stages, NC State maintained control and extended their lead further in the third quarter through strategic plays initiated by James.

In the final quarter, Quigley's scoring spree continued as she added crucial points that cemented NC State's commanding position. Her fourth three-pointer put them ahead by 25 points late in the game.

Looking forward, NC State will travel to Baha Mar in the Bahamas for the Pink Flamingo Championship where they are set to face Southern on November 25th and potentially play against LSU or Washington later in the week.
