Gabriella Broadfoot and Maddy Zampardo from the NC State women's tennis team are set to compete in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. The event begins on Tuesday, November 19, at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.

The duo is seeded No. 2 and will face Tulsa's Maria Berlanga and Lily Hutchings on Wednesday, November 20. The match time is yet to be announced. The winners will progress to the round of 16, where they will meet either Kendall Kovick/Yujia Huang (BYU) or Theadora Rabman/Tatum Evans (UNC). All matches will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

Broadfoot and Zampardo have had a successful fall season with a record of 12-2 as doubles partners, including an unbeaten streak against ranked opponents. Their performance in the ITA All-American tournament secured them a spot in the NCAA Championships and earned them All-America status, making them the ninth and tenth players in school history to achieve this honor.

Zampardo previously competed in last year's NCAA Doubles Championship with Amelia Rajecki, advancing past Temple's Maiko Uchijimia & Samantha Nanere before being defeated by Tennessee's Sofia Cabezas & Elza Tornase in the round of 16. This marks Broadfoot's first appearance at these championships.

NC State has a strong history at the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. Broadfoot and Zampardo are the 14th pair from NC State to qualify for the doubles championship, and this is their 12th qualification during Simon Earnshaw's tenure as coach. In recent years, Jaeda Daniel and Nell Miller won the NCAA Doubles Championship in 2022, while Amelia Rajecki reached back-to-back singles semifinals in 2023 and 2024.
