The NC State women's golf team has announced its 2024-25 schedule, as revealed on Wednesday. The team will participate in 10 regular season tournaments, including two at home. The Pack aims to make its 20th NCAA Regional appearance as a team and fifth NCAA Championship berth in Darby Sligh's second season at the helm, seventh overall.
NC State will compete in four fall tournaments, starting with the Cougar Classic hosted by the College of Charleston from Sept. 9-10 at Yeamans Hall Club in Hanahan, South Carolina. At last year's Cougar Classic, senior Lauren Olivares Leon broke the NCAA 18-hole record with a score of 60 in the second round.
The team will then play at the Cavalier Regional Preview hosted by Virginia from Sept. 23-24 at Birdwood Golf Club in Charlottesville, Virginia. NC State will stay close to home for the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational from Oct. 11-13 at Finley Golf Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Concluding the fall slate, NC State will participate in the Landfall Tradition hosted by UNCW from Oct. 25-27 at the Country Club of Landfall.
The spring season features six tournaments. NC State will begin in Guadalajara, Mexico at the Collegiate Invitational hosted by UVA from Jan. 31-Feb. 1 at Guadalajara Country Club.
Following this, they will play back-to-back tournaments hosted by the College of Charleston: Daniel Island Invitational from Feb. 24-25 at Daniel Island Club and Briar's Creek Invitational from March 10-11 at The Club at Briar's Creek in John's Island, South Carolina.
NC State will host its first tournament of two with the City of Oaks Collegiate from March 21-22 at Lonnie Poole Golf Course. They will then compete at ECU Ironwood Invitational from March 31-April 1 at Ironwood Golf Club in Greenville, North Carolina. Preparing for postseason and the ACC Championship, NC State will host Wolfpack Matchplay on April 7 at Lonnie Poole.
The ACC Championship is scheduled for April 16-19 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina and consists of three rounds of stroke play with top teams advancing to match play.
The NCAA Regional Championship is set for May 5-7 across six different host sites: Charlottesville (Birdwood Golf Course), Columbus (OSU Golf Club - Scarlet Course), Gold Canyon (Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club), Lexington (University Club of Kentucky), Lubbock (The Rawls Course) and Norman (Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club). For a second consecutive year, the NCAA Championship will be held May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa - Champions Course in Carlsbad, California.
Returning players include seven members from last year's squad along with freshman Marie Eline Madsen from Viborg, Denmark.
