Three NC State women's tennis players from the 2023-24 roster have been named ITA All-Academic Scholar Athletes, with Sophie Abrams, Amelia Rajecki, and Gina Dittmann making the list, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Monday. NC State was also named an ITA All-Academic Team.

NC State has had at least one player named an academic scholar-athlete for seven consecutive years.

This will be Abrams's third time on the list, and the second for both Dittmann and Rajecki.

Abrams was named CSC Second Team Academic All-American and Dittmann CSC Academic All-District earlier this year. At the NCAA Individual championships, Abrams was awarded the Elite 90 Award, which recognizes the student-athlete with the highest GPA at the championships.

Abrams earned her degree in biological sciences and finished her undergraduate career with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Along with her success in the classroom, Abrams wraps up her Wolfpack career among the program's best. Ahead of the 2024 spring dual match season, Abrams set the program record for most fall wins in program history. The Germantown, Tennessee native is among the top 10 in program history in career singles and career doubles wins.

Dittmann studied business at NC State and finished her academic career with a 3.9 GPA. Dittmann went 26-16 overall in singles and 10-9 in doubles play this past season and finished her career with 54 singles wins with the Wolfpack and over 100 career singles wins.

The 2024 ITA Senior Player of the Year, Rajecki, took home ITA All-American and First Team All-ACC honors this season. The Nottingham, England native achieved the highest ITA ranking in program history, being ranked as the No. 2 player in the country for most of the second half of the season. In back-to-back seasons, Rajecki made it to the semifinals of the NCAA Individual Singles Championships.

Throughout her four-year career at NC State, Rajecki amassed over 100 wins in both singles and doubles, making her only third player to have more than 100 wins in singles and doubles with Wolfpack. She finishes her career with 109 singles wins and 103 doubles wins, placing her third all-time in program history in both categories.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet specific requirements: Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on institutional eligibility form.

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team programs must meet specific requirements: Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on institutional eligibility form; all varsity letter winners should be factored into cumulative team GPA for current academic year.
