Congresswoman Deborah Ross, representing North Carolina's 2nd District, shared her thoughts and plans for the upcoming legislative session in a series of tweets. Known for her service in Congress since 2021 and previously in the North Carolina House of Representatives, Ross continues to address issues pertinent to her constituents.

On February 20, 2025, Ross announced her committee assignments for the 119th Congress. She stated, "ICYMI: In the 119th Congress, I'll be serving on: @HouseJudiciary @HouseScience Ethics Committee I look forward to returning to these committees and fighting for #NC02 and the American people."

Later that day, Ross highlighted ongoing challenges faced by North Carolinians due to adverse weather conditions. She tweeted on February 20, 2025: "While many North Carolinians continue to rebuild after Hurricane Helene, our state is facing its third winter storm this year. This is exactly why FEMA is essential - but Trump and Musk want to eliminate it. North Carolinians deserve better."

The following day, February 21, 2025, Ross emphasized the importance of federal support for education in a tweet. She expressed concern over potential funding cuts by stating: "The Department of Education provides funding for: Free and reduced lunches Special education programs Support for low income students Eliminating it would be disastrous for communities across North Carolina."
