Eric Tulsky, General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, has announced the assignment of forward Juha Jaaska and defenseman Scott Morrow to the Chicago Wolves, an affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Juha Jaaska, a 26-year-old forward from Helsinki, Finland, debuted in the NHL on January 2 against Florida. He has recorded four assists in 17 games with the Hurricanes this season. In his time with the Wolves during the 2024-25 season, Jaaska registered 16 points over 26 games. Previously, he played for HIFK in Finland's Liiga where he was an alternate captain and accumulated 30 points across 57 games in the 2023-24 season. His playoff performance included seven points in seven games.
Scott Morrow, a 22-year-old defenseman from Darien, Connecticut, made his season debut with the Hurricanes on February 4 at Winnipeg. He has contributed significantly to the Chicago Wolves with 29 points in 41 games this season. Morrow also appeared briefly for the Hurricanes last year after spending most of that season playing collegiate hockey at UMass. During his college career, he earned Third-Team All-Star honors within Hockey East.
Both players have demonstrated skill and potential throughout their careers thus far and will continue their development with the Chicago Wolves.
