NFL Films has announced a new feature on former NFL quarterback Erik Kramer, set to air on Fox Sports One. The film will be broadcast three times, starting with its premiere on Wednesday, December 18th at 1 a.m., followed by additional showings on Friday, December 20th at 7 p.m., and Tuesday, December 24th at 7:30 p.m.
The documentary explores Kramer's journey from his college days as a standout quarterback for NC State to his professional career with the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears. It delves into both the highs of his football achievements and the personal challenges he faced off the field. Notably, it covers Kramer's battle with depression and his recovery following a suicide attempt.
During his tenure at NC State, Kramer played in 22 games, amassing 4,602 passing yards and scoring 30 touchdowns. His performance earned him recognition as the ACC Player of the Year in 1986 and MVP honors in the Peach Bowl.
