The Carolina Hurricanes are set to face the Calgary Flames as they continue their six-game road trip. The game is scheduled for Thursday, October 24, with a puck drop at 9:00 p.m. ET. Fans can watch the match on FanDuel Sports Network South or via the FanDuel Sports App and listen through 99.9 The Fan or the Hurricanes App.

Currently, the Hurricanes hold a record of 3-2-0, placing them tied for fifth in the Metropolitan Division. They recently secured a victory against the Edmonton Oilers with a score of 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday, October 22. Sebastian Aho was pivotal in this win by scoring during overtime after Shayne Gostisbehere and Martin Necas helped push the game beyond regulation time.

Frederik Andersen's performance was notable as he stopped 32 out of 34 shots during this recent victory. However, it is anticipated that Pyotr Kochetkov will be guarding the net against Calgary following Andersen's participation in Tuesday's game.

Shayne Gostisbehere has been impressive lately, extending his goalscoring streak to four games with his power-play goal against Edmonton. This achievement makes him one of only four NHL players with three power-play goals this season.

Sebastian Aho also continues his strong performance with a four-game point streak entering tonight’s matchup and is close to matching Ron Francis for most game-winning goals in team history.

Jordan Martinook approaches two career milestones: reaching 200 NHL points and playing his 400th game as a Hurricane. Meanwhile, Martin Necas is nearing his own milestone with just one goal shy of achieving 100 NHL/Hurricanes goals.

On Calgary’s side, they have started their season strongly without any losses in regulation so far. Dustin Wolf has been effective in goal with a .936 save percentage over six games played while defenseman Rasmus Andersson leads their scoring efforts among blueliners.

The Hurricanes have announced that forward Jesper Fast will miss the entire season due to an injury sustained earlier this year while Riley Stillman remains limited by a lower-body injury since training camp began last month.

Following this game against Calgary, Carolina will travel to Seattle where they are scheduled to practice before facing off against the Kraken on Saturday as part of their ongoing road trip.
