The Carolina Hurricanes are set to face the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, aiming to extend their winning streak to four games. The game will be held in Newark, New Jersey, with a puck drop scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. Fans can watch the match on FanDuel Sports Network South or listen via 99.9 The Fan and the Hurricanes App.

Currently leading the Metropolitan Division with a record of 14-4-0, the Hurricanes recently defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1. In that game, goals from Sebastian Aho, Jordan Staal, and Jack Roslovic helped secure victory after entering the third period tied at one goal each.

Sebastian Aho's decisive goal against Philadelphia marked his 58th career game-winning goal for the franchise, surpassing Ron Francis' previous record. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour praised Aho's achievements saying, "He's going to be the franchise leader in everything when it's all said and done."

Pyotr Kochetkov played a key role in Wednesday's win by stopping 18 out of 19 shots but is expected to sit out Thursday's game in favor of Spencer Martin. Martin recently achieved his first NHL shutout against Ottawa Senators.

On the other side of the rink, New Jersey Devils enter this matchup following a loss to Tampa Bay Lightning but have been successful overall this month with five wins in their last seven games. The team is led by Jesper Bratt, Jack Hughes, and Nico Hischier and boasts an effective power play unit.

In terms of injuries for Carolina, goaltender Frederik Andersen remains sidelined due to a lower-body injury while forward Seth Jarvis has returned to practice but not yet rejoined travel activities with his teammates.

After facing New Jersey tonight, Carolina will head directly to Columbus where they will compete against Blue Jackets on Saturday evening before returning home next week for another fixture.
