Governor Roy Cooper has announced the appointment of Jason Ramey as Superior Court Judge in Judicial District 22 and Katy L. Gregg as District Attorney in Prosecutorial District 22, serving Rockingham and Caswell counties.
In a statement, Governor Cooper expressed his gratitude for the appointees' dedication to North Carolina, saying, "Both Jason Ramey and Katy Gregg bring extensive legal experience to their new positions and have served North Carolina well over the years. I am thankful for their willingness to step up and continue serving their communities and our state in these new roles."
Jason Ramey, the newly appointed Superior Court Judge, will be filling the vacancy left by the late Honorable Stanley L. Allen. Ramey, who currently serves as the District Attorney in Prosecutorial District 22, has previously held the role of District Attorney for Prosecutorial District 17A. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Pensacola Christian College and a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law.
Katy L. Gregg, the newly appointed District Attorney, will be taking over from Jason Ramey in Prosecutorial District 22. Gregg, who currently serves as Assistant District Attorney for Rockingham and Caswell counties, previously worked as an associate at The Berger Law Firm, P.C. She earned her Bachelor of Science from High Point University and her Juris Doctorate from the Appalachian School of Law.
