Public Notice - Renaming of the Devereux Meadow Park Project

Publicnotices

The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department (PRCR) is in the planning and conceptual design phase for a proposed new urban park located on a 14-acre site north of downtown Raleigh.  This project is currently named “Devereux Meadow Park.”  PRCR completed public engagement process on the Devereux Meadow Park Draft Concept Plan in early March 2022.

The Parks, Recreation, and Greenway Advisory Board (PRGAB) has recommended the Devereux Meadow Park Project be renamed to "Pigeon House Meadow Park."  As required by City Resolution 2021-278, this notice is to inform citizens that the PRGAB will welcome comments about this name recommendation at the July 21, 2022 regular meeting of the PRGAB.  The final decision on name change will be through City Council.

The Concept Plan is also to be presented to the PRGAB at their July 21, 2022 regular meeting.  Public comments on the Concept Plan are welcome at this meeting.  The concept plan report has been posted on the project website.
