Town of Fuquay-Varina recently issued the following announcement.
On February 17 at the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center, the Town in partnership with several organizations, dedicated historic markers to honor the historic importance and significant contributions of two schools in our community: Fuquay Consolidated School and Fuquay Springs High School. These are the first historic markers ever dedicated in our town. We can’t think of a finer way to start. Schools and education have always played such an important role in the lives of our citizens.
This grassroots effort was made possible by the collaboration of many. We would like to thank: Fuquay Consolidated Alumni, Fuquay-Varina Community Development Corporation, the Cultural Arts Society of Fuquay-Varina, and Fuquay-Varina Museums.
