Teen Gardening Program

Garden corps teen program

City of Raleigh recently issued the following announcement.

Garden Corps is an exclusive hands on gardening program that teaches teens how to grow and manage their own garden.  During the nutrition portion of the program, participants will take fresh vegetables out of the garden into the kitchen for cooking lessons.

Location:

Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina Community Garden

1924 Capital Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27604

Transportation will be provided, as needed, from Saint Monica Teen Center (15 N Tarboro St, Raleigh, NC 27610) with pick-up time at 3:30 P.M. and return time at 6:00 P.M.

Program Details:

This is a free 12-week program that meets on Thursdays from 4:00-5:30 P.M. beginning February 24, 2022.

There will be no session on April 14 due to Spring Break.  Members that complete all 12 weeks of the program will receive an exclusive prize.

Ages: 12-17
