NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE: Insurance Commissioner/State Fire Marshal Causey to deliver grant checks to fire departments and speak at Rockingham County Board of Commissioners Meeting

North Carolina Department of Insurance issued the following announcement July 10.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey will present grant checks to rural volunteer fire departments and speak to county leaders during a visit to Rockingham County on Monday, July 13.

Commissioner Causey, who is also the State Fire Marshal, will be visiting several fire departments during the daylong visit to Rockingham County. Commissioner Causey will also present ceremonial grant checks to the Shiloh Fire Department and Yanceyville Road Fire Department. The matching grants help fire departments pay for equipment.

To cap off the day, Commissioner Causey will speak at the Rockingham County Board of County Commissioners meeting to discuss his efforts to modernize the insurance industry in North Carolina and as Fire Marshal, to support firefighters and improve the fire service across the state.
