Wake County Register of Deeds announces holiday closures and online service availability

Wake County Register of Deeds has announced that its offices will be closed from Wednesday, December 24 through Friday, December 26, in observance of the Christmas holiday. In addition, the office will also be closed on January 1, 2026 for New Year’s Day.

According to the announcement, Wake County Public Libraries will close early at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23 ahead of the holidays.

Online services, including eRecording, will continue to be available through the county’s website at Wake.gov/ROD during this period. The office stated that any online orders or real estate eRecordings submitted while the office is closed will be processed on the next business day when operations resume.
