Wake County Public Health will host a series of vaccine clinics to help students receive required immunizations before the start of the new school year. The initiative is intended to make it easier for families to ensure their children meet North Carolina’s vaccination requirements for kindergarten, 7th grade, and 12th grade.
“Our goal is to make getting vaccinated as easy and accessible as possible for families in our community,” said Wake County Commissioner Tara Waters. “By taking advantage of these clinics, families can avoid last-minute scrambles and get their kids protected and ready to start the school year on the right foot.”
At each clinic, public health nurses will administer vaccines, answer questions from parents, and confirm that children have met all necessary school immunization requirements. Families are advised to bring vaccination records and insurance cards if available. A parent or legal guardian must accompany each child with a photo ID.
