The One, Big, Beautiful Bill was signed into law on July 4. This legislation is aligned with the platform President Trump campaigned on and reflects what he believes Americans voted for. The bill includes significant tax cuts, measures to secure the border, and an “America First” approach.

In Congress, all Democrats in both the House and Senate opposed the bill. Key elements they voted against include:

– The largest tax cut in American history.
– A 15% tax reduction for working Americans that could increase take-home pay by approximately $10,000 per family.
– An expansion of the child tax credit to $2,200 for over 40 million families.
– A policy of No Tax on Tips that aims to save millions of workers nearly $2,000 annually.
– Tax reductions for average overtime workers by up to $1,750 a year.
– Tax cuts for seniors receiving Social Security benefits.
– Modernization and overhaul of the nation’s air traffic control system.
– Elimination of special tax breaks for billionaire sports team owners.
– Reduction of the national deficit by as much as $11.1 trillion.

Public support appears strong according to cited figures: 82 percent favor a 15% tax cut for working families; 81 percent back increasing the child tax credit to $2,500; 77 percent support no taxation on tips; and 74 percent approve no taxes on overtime pay.

The Republican party stands unified behind this bill while Democrats are accused of focusing on obstructing an agenda favored by many voters in order to satisfy far-left radicals.
