Tricia Cotham, a Republican elected to the North Carolina State House in 2025 to represent the state’s 105th House district, posted a series of tweets on January 3, 2026, expressing strong opinions about political figures and current events.

In one post from January 3, Cotham shared her admiration for certain individuals by stating: “Heroes! https://t.co/359MSXJSXf”.

Later that day, she commented on Venezuelan politics with a direct statement regarding Nicolás Maduro: “Get it right- Nicolas #Maduro was NEVER the President of #Venezuela. He is a vicious criminal cartel thug who destroyed generations of innocent families, operated with corruption & ruthlessness and slaughtered citizens. He’s no victim, he’s a dangerous tyrant. He deserves”.

In another tweet posted on the evening of January 3, Cotham wrote in Spanish: “Hoy sufuturo cambia para mejor! Que hermoso! https://t.co/vZb1Fk5Nc6”.

Cotham succeeded Wesley Harris as the representative for North Carolina’s 105th House district after being elected in 2025.
