Shortly after, at 15:34 UTC, she expressed support for local law enforcement with the message, “Way to go @matthewspolice !! https://t.co/unq9mQCt2m”.

Cotham succeeded Wesley Harris as representative of North Carolina’s 105th House district following her election in 2025.
