Taylor Hall is set to play his 100th game as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes when the team faces the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday, March 20. Hall, who has been part of a productive line with Logan Stankoven and Jackson Blake, contributed to seven points in the team’s recent win over Pittsburgh. In that same game, Hall became the seventh Hurricane this season to reach 15 goals. He also scored during Carolina’s last visit to Toronto on November 9, helping secure a 5-4 victory.

The upcoming lineup remains largely unchanged from Wednesday’s win, except for Brandon Bussi taking the starting goaltender position. Bussi is expected to start as part of an alternating rotation but is looking to improve after three consecutive losses in net.

The projected forward lines include Svechnikov-Aho-Jarvis; Hall-Stankoven-Blake; Ehlers-Staal-Martinook; and Carrier-Jankowski-Robinson. Defensive pairings are Slavin-Chatfield, Miller-Walker, and Reilly-Nikishin. The power play units will feature Aho, Ehlers (or Staal), Jarvis, Svechnikov with Nikishin on one unit and Blake, Hall, Jankowski, Stankoven with Miller on the other. Jordan Staal will take faceoffs for the first power play unit and remain on ice if he wins possession.

Injury updates list Shayne Gostisbehere as out for a couple of games due to a lower-body injury since March 10 and Pyotr Kochetkov recovering from hip surgery since December 29. Nicolas Deslauriers and Jesperi Kotkaniemi are listed as scratches for this matchup.

The Carolina Hurricanes have recognized players such as Eric Staal and Rod Brind’Amour in their Hall of Fame for significant contributions according to the official website. The team achieved a major milestone by winning the Stanley Cup in 2006 according to the official website.

The Hurricanes’ home venue is Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The arena features more than 700,000 square feet with multiple seating levels and amenities including suites and concession stands according to the official website. It can accommodate up to 20,000 people and hosts over 150 events each year according to the official website. The organization contributes more than $200 million annually to the local economy through its events and community engagement according to the official website.

As Hall reaches his milestone appearance with Carolina amid ongoing lineup adjustments due to injuries and performance rotations, fans will be watching closely as the team continues its campaign.
