The Minnesota-based Yeadon Fabric Domes is known for its climate-controlled domed structures used in various sporting venues worldwide. The company's facilities have been installed in over 30 countries and serve customers including professional football teams and universities such as the University of Pennsylvania and Marquette University. In Fayetteville, Yeadon plans to construct a 72-foot-tall domed structure within a 50,000-square-foot production site at the Fayetteville Regional Airport.
CEO Matt Mejia expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: "Yeadon Domes is thrilled to be expanding our operations to Fayetteville. N.C. Senator Val Applewhite commented on the workforce benefits: “They will greatly benefit from our transitioning military families which offer a uniquely skilled and prepared workforce that a company of this impact will need.”
N.C. Representative Diane Wheatley added her support: “This is a great win for Cumberland County and the entire state.”
