Eric Tulsky, the General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, has announced that forward Tyson Jost has been activated from injured reserve. Jost, 26, had been sidelined for 19 games due to a lower body injury sustained on January 2. In the current season with the Hurricanes, he has played in 16 games and scored two goals.
In addition to his NHL appearances this season, Jost has participated in 14 AHL games with Chicago, scoring four goals and assisting five times. Last season, he recorded six points over 43 NHL games with Buffalo and added 14 points in 25 AHL games with Rochester.
Jost was originally drafted by Colorado as the tenth overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft. Throughout his career in the NHL, he has accumulated a total of 142 points across 472 games while playing for Carolina, Colorado, Minnesota, and Buffalo.
